Lost Love

by Tru   Jun 23, 2005

You left without ever making a sound,
I’ve searched for you but you would not be found.
Where have you gone my friend,
Was our love all just pretend.
A blade could never have cut me this deep,
I lay awake at night unable to sleep.
No one knows of this pain except me,
Love is supposed to be happy, so how could this be.
In a single day we feel thousands of emotions,
But losing this love brought them crashing like the oceans.
Your love was once as warm as a million suns,
Now I’m cold and empty and want to run.
I will search for you, love, always,
But I stay lost in my mind, the endless hallways.
Why you don’t return is beyond me,
If you’d return you’d set my heart free.
So here is where I’ll sit and wait for you,
If you never return I know not what I’ll do.
