THAT BoY

by Lizzy   Jun 24, 2005

He walks straight past me in the hall
His body is built and he is tall
He never looks my way to notice me
I am just one in a smudged background of what he can see

I can’t tell you that he’s nice or caring or kind
Nor that he has an open mind
I don’t think he and I will ever be
Not until he eventually looks my way and notices me

He has such a big bright smile
It seems to make my day a little more worth while
If maybe he ever looked at me
And realised he liked what he would see

So next time I pass him in that hall
I will try to look strong and I’ll stand up tall
I’ve fallen for this boy I barely know
I’m not going to get over him, I’m not going to let go
