Half full

by Casey   Jun 24, 2005

This side was always empty before,
But now my bed just feels like even I'm not there.
I don't know why this is,
Because you were never there.

I feel like I'm missing a part of myself
When I don't know where you are
Twenty miles away or thousands,
It doesn't matter how far.

Tonight it's different
You haven't even left yet,
I'm still talking to you
And I'm already afraid you'll forget.

We say "love"
Toss it around like it's a ball,
I wish you could understand
That I'm not playing at all.

If I could hold you
See you face to face
You would never question
What you felt in my embrace.

Go now, leave soon.
Because the sooner you return
The sooner my bed will be half full again,
And my heart will bear half the concern.
