Notice me

by SammiBABY   Jun 24, 2005

I practise night and day,
No worries, no condition
I take this in all its seriousness
Still no recognition.

I do each move in perfection,
The practise makes it clear,
But you don’t even look at me
And I think “Why am I here?”

I do everything dramatically
So strong and well refined,
Trying so desperately hard,
To work my face into your mind.

But it doesn’t seem to work for me,
No matter how hard I try,
You won’t look, won’t talk to me,
You don’t even bat an eye.

So I decide to make a change,
To try something entirely new,
I stuff up every movement possible,
To see what I get from you.

But you don’t even see me there
As you look right along,
I mess up everything in perfect purpose
Every step intentionally wrong,

You go through the others,
And pick their every mistake,
But look straight past me.
What will it take?
To just get noticed.

I feel invisible,
Non-existent.
Diminutive
Pathetic,
Even insignificant

Never a “hello”
“Where have you been?”
Even a “Goodbye”
It’s not hard,
Why can’t you acknowledge,
That I exist
Because when you don’t
I cry.

*** sorry if dodgy...fix later v. tired!!! :)
