I Am Here...

by .:.:.aidanG.:.:.   Jun 24, 2005

Hardly breathing, not moving a muscle,
Hardly thinking, not making any sounds,
Hardly free, in these ropes, you are bound.

Slowly sinking, into a pool of heartache,
Slowly weakening, into a body of no good,
Slowly dying, and there I was, I stood.

Watching life, turn into nothing,
Watching life, fade before my eyes,
Watching life, and how it could not survive the lies.

Praying deep, for some assistance,
Praying everything, for some relief.
Praying everything, for the belief.

Everything was OK, I hoped that it was,
Everything was good, I hoped that you would survive,
Everything was normal, the decision I had to divide.

Should I, let you fade,
Should I, let you get away,
Should I, watch you fly.

But, I was not strong enough,
But, I was not like you,
But, You never came through.

I am here, standing on your grave,
I am here, my eyes fill with tears,
I am here, don’t know what to do with the rest of my years.
