Escape for a day

A happy day, and music played
the sun shone down, and in it we lay
everyone around us smiling wide
I felt relaxed, no need to hide
that day was great, I forgot all the sh!+
I forgot about home, didn't miss it one bit
laughter in the air, giggles all around
in this unknown place, a peace I found
I sat on the grass and looked at it all
I felt I could stand alone, and I wasn't going to fall
I felt a strength from those around me
with such happiness, sadness couldn't be
and then it was over, people in tears
as we left the bowl, a return of my fears
overcome noone knew what to say
it was just a relief to escape for a day

~Yeah its not very good but hey!~
~Went to see Greenday on saturday and the atmosphere was brilliant, and I got home and realised that just for that day my problems had disappeared and I had felt happy~
