A Life Of Sixteen Years

by Sarah Ann   Jun 24, 2005

My life is like a big story
Just waiting to be unfold
So read it very carefully
For the pages do not fold

The cover of it is so plain
But you should not judge
Open up my book and read
Before you hold a grudge

The binding, made in gold
Holds the truth deep inside
So open my book and read
There is nothing left to hide

Quickly read it, open it up
To the pages with my tears
Hurry, you have a lot left
Just A life of sixteen years

Read on all the excitement
Of my happiness and sad
Read the times I was good
The times where I was bad

Quickly, now turn the page
For it burns right in my skin
And it tells the entire world
The things my life has been

Carefully read on my friend
About the day I almost died
Of the times I was neglected
Of all the feelings that I hide

The pages now became old
But don’t throw it all around
If not you will only find it
Buried deep under ground

As soon as I leave this life
My book will then wash away
And it deserves to be known
To be living for another day

Quickly read it, open it up
To the pages with my tears
Hurry, you have a lot left
A whole life of sixteen years
