Eternity on a time limit

Why cant one grasp
what perfect is
going to heaven
an eternal bliss

if you look
into their eyes
its hard not
to see their lies

how can we all
not understand
that hell has become
a plague upon the land

is it to much
for us all
to reach them
before they fall

if you asked those
who wouldn't lie
what they thought about life
you would see them cry

we were chosen
to give a hand
god's children
aliens upon this land

to know there is a heaven
is all we need
to bring them
to follow Christ's lead

why can't one grasp
what hell is
to be without God
an eternal miss
