Your Only Song

by lisa marie   Jun 25, 2005

They say friendships never really end
That there is still that memory
Of all the time you use to spend;
With the people who you love most

And as they relax within your mind
You are brought back with a smile
That for one second;
Makes your life all worthwhile

The people, your friends, and all of your dreams
Thrown away by your feelings inside
And within yourself, you feel the silent screams
Of memories and depression that always collide

Memories are always crying
Especially the ones where you use to laugh
Because now you're lying around dying
Cut to pieces and split in half

Sitting in the dark looking at the sun in the day
Knowing you'll always be wrong in some way
And nobody knows with any concern
When your life and friends will return

So you build a song between you and the world
Trapped in your emotions, almost insane
And when you let your telephone ring
You wrap your world in endless pain

And all that is responsible for your sorrow
Burries you in a hole of guilt
Leaving you for the same tomorrow
And singing along to the song you've built
