Peace in the sand

I’ve picked out the place
And figured out the time
At night by the water
Will do just fine

I’ll go to sleep
With the sand and waves
A smile on my face
An O.D. to my grave

You asked me to wait
So I give it one more day
I wait on your promise
To hear what you say

My broken heart is bleeding
I’m so empty inside
Stripped of my dignity
Torn from my pride

Take this last chance
You may change my mind
I loved you so much
I guess I was blind

You were my world
I though that I knew
But it was all lies
Who really are you?

If you cant keep your promise
Then please understand
Sunday at midnight
I’ll find peace in the sand

    Sweetheart, not another poem of suicidal thoughts. Like Holly, I, too have been there & trust me, theres so much more to live for. At that last second in life (when you're so close to death) you can feel it, you will have regrets on it & not all people are as fortunate to make it.... Please stay strong. I'm here for you!
