Inner Darkness

Inner Darkness

The poison inside me kills all,
Everyone close to me takes that fall.
Is it fate that says I will be alone,
Or is it this unforgiving heart of stone.
I’ve never meant to be this cold,
If I was meant to be this way I was never told.
Everyone is consumed by the darkness that I spread,
Instead of living this life I should be dead.
Maybe I should just end it all with this blade,
Maybe then this pain might seem to fade.
In my own darkness I lay curled,
I knew not that it would destroy the world.
