How is it so?
For a girl who feels so ugly from head to toe
to be so Beautiful
To look in the mirror each day
and see ugliness in every way
to be Whistled and hooted at as she walks by
to cry herself to sleep each night
and never be held oh so tight
and yet be voted the prettiest girl around
Why is it?
She looks in a mirror and sees a monster with a zit
and be asked how she keeps her face so clear
to be so insecure
and so unsure
and yet be so popular
How is it she walks into the room
and not a head turns from her to Roam
and yet she feels so unsteady of her looks
How do you ask?
She hides behind a mask
a Mask of Smiles a Mask of Friendliness
a Mask of Selfness
She doesn't Look at people for how they
look she simply says I'll be your friend id I May
she doesn't Stick around with just her friends
She Goes around Making Mends
And Though inside she feels so Ugly
inside and out she's the most beautiful
you have ever seen because being
herself is what makes her so Beautiful
