Dark and Evil Night

by xdiamondwingsx   Jun 26, 2005

She was still young
Lively at heart
But once evil stung
She was torn apart

Anna was her name
Loving and friendly
But one night she was tortured just the same
That was just the way it would be

She met a boy one day
As she was walking home from school
They hit it off right away
She didn't know he was cruel

Anna and James held hands in the park
And laughed in the pool
But one night when it got dark
James lost his cool

He slammed her up against a wall
And demanded he have his way
Anna tried to crawl
Tried to wriggle away

But he was stronger than her
He felt he would win
And loud struck the thunder
As he committed the unthinkable sin

His eyes flashed with anger
When she pushed him away
Her inner-strength began to stir
She was determined to make it to the day

His hand darkened her skin
And tears stung in her eyes
The boy she had trusted in
Was causing her cries

She pushed him again
And he fell to the ground
She realized she had been
Tricked all around

He pulled out a gun
He had hidden in his shirt
And another nightmare began
Filled with blood and hurt

With a click and a bang
Led struck the wall
Anna grabbed her arm, clutched it as it stang
And realized he hadn't missed her at all

A last desperate attempt to escape
Turned to success
With this she flew like a cape
Into the darkness

Through the grass and down the alley
She ran without stopping
Over the bridge and past the woods where she couldn't see
Her heart rang in her ears, a constant popping

Into the house and to her mother's arms
The sweat dripping from her face
She explained how she'd fallen for his charms
And then won the chase

Never again would Anna love
Never would she trust
The boy she thought was a gift from above
Was for nothing other than lust

The rest of her life
She lay cold and alone
Tryng to forget the cut of the knife
The bullet on the stone

But they would never leave her mind
The sounds, the sights, the fright
That she happened to find
On that dark and evil night.
