I Know

by xdiamondwingsx   Jun 26, 2005

I know that sometimes the days are cold
On the road to paradise
But I see you've got a stronghold
I know you don't have to think twice

Put your hand in mine and hold on for your life
I won't let you down
I'll carry you over the rivers of strife
When it gets deep, I won't let you drown

I know that sometimes the dark can be a scare
When you're not sure what you cannot see
But I hear you crying in despair
I hear you calling for me

Connect your heart with mine and don't pull away
I'll wrap them together tight
Together we can run away
And when it gets dark, I'll be your light

I know that your pain brings tears
When you reach such a strong rip tide
But I see you when you're lost in strange atmospheres
I see you when you try to hide

Forget your map and hollow me
It cannot show you where to go
I'll carry your weight when it is too heavy
When it rains, I'll be your rainbow

I know that the doubts make the answers hard to find
When you concentrate on all of it
But I can find it in the back of your mind
You're too strong to quit

But rely on the strength of us together and not on your own
Please do not give in
I won't let our love be overthrown
If you feel you're about to lose, I'll help you win

I know the sun is about to shine
Because you're going to trust me
You see it in my eyes, the love of mine
And I see it in you as you see it in me

We'll put our hands together and hold on as one life
We won't let each other down
We're strong together and we'll make it over the rivers of strife
And only in our love shall we ever drown

I know my heart is loving you
And taking care of you every second of every day
I feel it deep inside and it's true
It's more than knowledge we'll make it come what may.
