One True Friend

by Artemis   Jun 26, 2005

We made each other laugh; we made each other cry,
We have told each other more then one lie.
It doesn’t matter for it’s all in the past,
And forever these things do not last.
There are many things that stay as long as they can,
Most of them not in the original plan.
Our friendship is one that we share,
And not everyone around us can compare.
You have to be yourself to have true friends,
And if you always are you’ll be friends till time ends.
I know I’m myself, and I hope you are too,
Because be friends till the end is what we can do.
I’ll be here for you through thick and thing,
Even if things may seem too painful or grim.
There’s no doubt about it that we were meant to meet,
And they day we did, we both got a treat.
We have now long been freed,
Because one true friend is all you need.
