I stand alone on a mountain peak,
Everyone i love has deserted me,
So high up, far from home,
I feel so sad and alone.
I gaze into the horizon,
The blue skies are gone,
Only dark skies remain,
As i try and shut out the pain.
The earth far, far below,
It starts to smoulder, smoke and glow,
I see forests, villages and towns burning,
This is the end, the world stops turning.
In my despair my mind starts to race,
I think of each and every freindly face,
I look deep into their eyes,
But as i do, i remember their lies.
Up here on my high peak i'm safe,
I search for my family to learn of their fate,
I see their ashes huddled together,
>A tear forms as i fall to the floor and start to whimper.
I lose everything in one swift blow,
It was their time to die but now i want to go,
All my life i thought this idea best,
SO I shut my eyes, put my will to the test,
I jump to my feet and run to the lip,
I spread my arms and let myself slip,
As i plummet to the ground and the world ends,
The darkness surrounding me starts to deepen,
Suddenly it ends and I am free,
My family are all there to greet me,
I'm away from the pain and the lies,
Away from the world that i despised.
