Glory faded

by Emily   Jun 26, 2005

Two trees standing tall
in their glory all
fallen down
burned to the ground
glory gone and faded
houses, homes, buildings raided
to gain that glory faded
in the end the glory gained
the trees are stronger now
though many lost and many perished
we had won and got our wish
the fire burned our spirits down,
but we have won the war
the trees have gained their glory back
and we stand tall again.
