Three Points Of View

"Theres one rule for you, another for me" She cries at him with tears streaming down her face.
"Do you not care if I'm hurting?" She yells and walks out the room.
The man she loves,
Hurting her this way,
She can't let him see,
So she runs away to escape.
Trying to keep it together for her children,
Acting like everything is alright,
Fooling many around her,
Only the closest can see her cry.
He just can't see the hurt she feels,
She looks at her silver wedding ring,
Her vision becomes blurry.

"We need to sort this out" He says to her,
"Don't be so stupid" He yells at her.
Watching her walk away,
Knowing the tears falling from her eyes are from him,
She just doesn't understand,
Why is she over reacting this way?
This woman that he loves, that he adores,
Now out of the room,
Images of his old self are in his head,
He sits on the bed, in shock.
His head in his hands.
Trying to fight back the tears of frustration and hurt.
She may feel hurt,
But why can't she see the hurt shes causing him?
He goes around doing his daily things,
Planning on what he will say to her next.
He keeps it together to people around him,
Nobody is seeing how he feels inside,
On his own he thinks of her smiling face,
Her inner and outer beauty make him smile.
He looks at his silver wedding ring on his finger,
His vision now blurry.

Turning up the music loud,
Trying to block out the shouting coming from the other room.
Seeing her mother storm out in tears,
Walking out her bedroom door.
He stays in his room, closing the door silently.
This isn't the first time they've had a heated row,
Becoming more frequent as each day draws to a close.
She tries not to worry about it,
But she can't lie to her friends and at night she cries herself to sleep,
Each night praying that they'll work things out.
The tension in the room between them two is more than she can bare,
They can barely look at each other,
And they never exchange a word.
Keeping the truth from her younger siblings,
They are too young to understand whats going on.
She explains that things are OK, not to worry,
Carry on playing with their toys.
She admires their photo together,
On their wedding,
Such a happy day full of laughs and smiles.
Then reality hits,
She just doesn't know how much of this she can take,
And her vision is now blurry.

*This poem is about my mum & step dad arguing. The first stanza is my mums point of view, the second is my step dad & the third stanza is my point of view. Tell me what you think, would mean a lot.*

You are truly amazing becky, you put up with so much struggle and hardship and you still manage to pull through and smile and put on a brave face for those around you. I really admire you. And I admire that you are able to look from his point of view as well as your mums. It must be harder seeing as he isn't as close to you as your mum is so its hard not to just think he's wrong and your mums right. You're so amazing! Don't worry things will work out...*hug* xxx lovew you xxx
