She gave you her heart
the day you said goodbye
you said it was all you could do
to make her happy one last time
she said "just looking at you makes me happy"
you just laughed.
you didn't believe her
but you do now
now that she's gone
she died because you never came home
like you had promised
you broke her heart.
you never thought a simple mistake
like that would kill someone
but it wasn't a mistake
you intentionally did it to see how far it would go
you knew she'd call and yell and cry
but she did but didn't do neither.
her heart told her to hold on
but she was about to explode
she said "hang on"
you said "OK"
she get her gun and said "OK I'm leaving"
bang.
he was speechless..
he had nothing to say
all he could do was think what have i done
he thought back to the day he left
he could hear her say "just looking at you makes me happy."
he believed now.
he lost his best friend
the one who cared and loved him most
she was there when he needed a shoulder
or when he needed attention
she gave him everything he ever needed
that was gone now.
today he still lives
he moved into her place with all her things
he cried every night
he drinks, smokes, and cuts
he does heroine and cocaine
he threw his life away.
until one day
he was driving drunk
he missed a turn
hit a tree and died
he died with a smile on his face
and a tear in his eye.
he had a note saying bury me next to my true love
he was buried next to her
he died without his one last tear falling
now they are together
in a new home
happy as can be.
