Lies are like secrets
The truth is hidden
Both are at times necessary
Both cause distrust and confusion
For honesty is not complete
Moments to spare hurt feelings
Moments of fear for the truth being set free
Not knowing the consequence
Not knowing the reaction
Not knowing the wisest decision
Though that’d be an opinion
But thinking of what could’ve been,
What would’ve happened,
How it would be different
Is pointless.

Yes, you use your mistakes and experiences to learn and use in
the future…you still might not make the right choice or decision
But hopefully you know better for next time.
What I was getting to
Is that dwelling on the past is a waste of time.
No matter how much you wish things could change,
Wish things had gone a different way;
They remain unaltered
You can’t change the past
Time machines would be nice
But that’s not an option
Going over situations, conversations, whatever it may be
repeatedly in your head gets you nowhere, nothing. I’d know. Trust
me.
Replaying what happened only brings back the pain.
Reminds you of yesterday’s mistakes
Which have already been made
So do your best not to repeat the same mistakes
Learn, grow, and continue on your way
Stop filling your mind with all that’s behind.
