Hallways of Hell

by Leana   Jun 27, 2005

I sit there staring at the clock
Willing the time to go by
Somehow wishing it could stop
Always has it been this way
Part of me wanting to run away
The other so badly for me to stay
Raking my mind for something to say

But the truth is there – staring me in the face
I’ve been caught in love’s ugly web
A big black web – so impossible to escape
Just when you think that you’re free
The tentacles stretch out and pull you back
The evil laughter echoing in your head
The joke’s on you, yet we’re all caught in this web

Yeah, we’ve all been there
Yet it’s never really the same
Some ache ‘cause their love’s unanswered
Some because it is
Imagine that – two people perfect for each other
Except for one tiny flaw
What could be worse than forbidden love?

Words running through your head
Something someone said
A harsh reality - Hallways of Hell
A dream, a nightmare - Who knows the truth?
When you’re on the floor
Your hands clawed to blood
Who will dare try and safe you?
Who will dare try and safe you?
