What is A Father?

by Tanya   Jun 28, 2005

A father is one who provides for his child,
one who provides comfort so mild.
A father is one who participates in his child's life,
not anticipates his child's life.
A child looks to a father for guidance and assurance,
a father is one who gives without annoyance.
A father is one who will provide fatherhood for the eternity of the child,
not one who fathers the child and makes a mile.
If all fathers knew how they influence their child into adulthood,
they would know the importance of
fatherhood.
A father is one who will love and give unconditionally,
and never give up on his child circumstantially.
A father is one who will forgive a child's sins,
and understand when he doesn't win.
Although a father must let the child live and learn,
a father must be there to help make the turn.
A child looks to a father for protection,
without him they feel rejection.
A child can live without the material things fathers can provide,
it is your time, acceptance and fatherhood they need by their side.
When a father accepts the responsibility of fatherhood,
your child will live the good life they should.

my mother wrote this about what she thinks a good father for me should be......
