Broken Dream Catcher

by KatkidaElric   Jun 28, 2005

A dream catcher keeps all the nightmares out,
Yet lets the good ones pass through.
My dream catcher is just the opposite,
It's the nightmares that pass through.

I'm living in torment,
Everything I could rely on now gone.
With all these things happening,
I just don't want to go on.

I look so very young,
Yet I feel so very old.
The things I've stumbled through,
Leave my warm heart feeling cold.

This dream catcher I have,
Is broken in some way.
Letting my life become a nightmare,
Not only at night but throughout the day.

I pray for it to stop,
Why is this happening to me?
Why couldn't someone elses life,
Be a horrible never ending dream?

My friends, my family,
Those who said " I care"
How come when I need them most,
They never seem to be there?

I wish this nightmare would just end,
These dreams leave me alone.
And from this eternal sleep awake,
So I can finally go home.

This poem will never be finished,
There is something I must do.
Because this never ending nightmare,
Was created by you.

So Ive poured out my soul,
Whats left of it anyway,
Now fill in the last four lines,
With what you have to say.

*in the comments section write the four end lines to this poem. it would be greatly appreciated. thanx*
