A mothers pride

by skyfox   Jun 28, 2005

Special people in an ugly world
Special people my extraordinary girls
As different as two could be
Yet similar to you and me.

They love they laugh they lead the way
They’re kind and gentle in what they say
Each thinks and speaks from a deep big heart
Each helps the other although far apart

No mother could ever ask for more
I love each of them and want no more
With each there is a strength unbound
Their capabilities as yet unfound

Life to them has at times been unkind
But they rise above it and an inner strength they find
They cling to the great things they’ve shared in life
And grow with each experience to reach higher heights.

Who knows what is yet to come
Who knows how well their lives will run
But deep down in my heart of hearts
I know I will love them as I have from the start.
