The Follower

by A Bnormal   Jun 28, 2005

You look at me pass by
And stereotype me automatically
Never smile or wave
Or even get to know me
I'm not cool enough for you
Because of the way I act and dress
If everyone was different
The world would be a mess
You try to be like all your friends
You have no thoughts of your own
You are like a living zombie
But in your heart you are all alone
You try to be something
Different from who you are
Just to gain acceptance
But you never get that far
You have a circle of friends
Who say they're always there
But you cry yourself to sleep at nite
Cuz you know they don't really care
You left all the people
Who accepted u for you
But they'll still be waiting
When your fairytale is through
You act happy every day
Although you're dying inside
But your old self will be waiting
When you true self you do find
This is not who you are
You know that and so do they
You are a better person than that
So why do you always stay
The fairytale you have entered
Will quickly become a nightmare
And if you don't get out now
You won't know who u are anymore
High society will claim another
Of the young and hopeless
You will follow the others
And end up in a big mess
Please think about who you are
As you cry in the dark tonight
Realize who you are becoming
And try to make it right
