One Regret

As her heart aches and her eyes fill with tears,
She thinks about her many years.
Some are sad and some are happy,
But this year has been really crappy.
She met her true love,
And saw the sign of the dove.
It left so fast with such a haste,
That she didn\'t notice and she kept a smile on her face.
She went on loving, he went on pretending,
And soon enough he stopped defending.
He told her the truth and broke her heart,
And she and him split apart.
She loved him dearly and always would,
Now she shall stab herself if she could.
She stabbed herself in the heart and said not it word,
For she wanted to die, not to be heard.
She lied there till she died and she had only one regret,
That she and this boy had never met.
