Numb

by Kae   Jun 28, 2005

Feeling like she’s slowly going blind,
As the lies cloud over her own eyes,
Twisting in pain, wondering through life,
Lost inside herself, in a broken mind,

A torn heart left without any feeling,
And shredded into small bloody pieces,
Nothing left, no time for any healing,
Watching as her soul keeps on failing,

Cradled in her arms next to a wall,
Grasping to invisible railings as she falls,
Trying to keep herself from feeling at all,
With sewn lips, there’s no one to call,

Fighting a battle with herself in a war,
Trying to keep herself from being torn,
Her voice locked within her inner core,
She’ll continue to stop feeling anymore.
