The Core

by Kae   Jun 28, 2005

My collage of a rebellious heart,
It’s impermeable stitches undone,
Unraveling with the mournful times,
Stalked by a trail of painful tears,

A jagged knife, once an invisible pin,
Stabbed purposely into the empty core,
Bleeding black tears with every forsaken hour,
Darkness enveloping the hollow inner chambers,

Unfortunately, continuously steadily beating,
Composing a rhythm of an everlasting symphony,
The day has yet to darken on the heart,
The night has yet to see the broken soul,

It will not die,
It just will not die.
