A ray of light

by MidnightFantasy   Jun 28, 2005

My darkest hours without you
This lonely soul swallowed up in pain
In the corner of the emptiness
I feel the silence cut my skin
I see the darkness in my heart
Craving for someone, a loving soul
Why is an innocent wish
A deadly sin
Why is the pain
A daily routine
I bow down before the ray of light
Ask for it's warmth, a little comfort
For then I can feel how it's like to be loved
At least for once, be a lucky one
The beauty of it is never the same
As the world of shadows
Where i'll have to remain
But now I know it wont be in vain
For there is something more
Than this meaningless game
My strength has regained
The beauty maintained
So when I fall again
In that pitch black hole
I'll remember there's a light
that's shining my way
