Poisonous Love

by Kae   Jun 28, 2005

Love is like poison,
Slowly killing my soul,
Shattering parts of me,
Taking away my whole,

Torturing me always,
Taking my last breath,
Giving me false reassurance,
Before giving my death,

Gives me an addiction,
Making me want more,
Crying for the end,
Burning at the core,

Takes me away,
Into a separate realm,
Where the time stands still,
And there is no visible Hell,

Fools me into believing,
That happiness is real,
Blinds me for a short time,
Until I can’t truly feel,

Hits me like a tornado,
Throwing me against my will,
Begging and pleading for more,
But again, it will kill,

Everything foreseen,
Everything repeats,
Can see the end coming,
And yet I couldn’t believe,

Love’s poison wicked,
It’s lies very true,
It can’t be stopped,
And will come for you…
