Remember When

by Kae   Jun 28, 2005

Once upon a time lands were cloaked in green,
But as stone morphs into ashes, emerald morphed into lead,
A barren wasteland toppled by thieves,
In which immortal, true beauty bled,

A lush surface hardened to stone,
Poison lurking through the air,
Beauty hidden, remained unshown,
Trapped within Hell’s lair,

Remember when the breeze blew,
Through the torched stars above?
Remember when you dreamed of visions of the moon,
And death did not hang over hope or love?

Keep hoping for only blind eyes can see,
A world torn to fragile pieces of dust,
And as the thieves continue to split the sea,
There lies lost the only beauty loved,

Remember when,
Remember when.
