I woke up this morning
with a smile on my face
my head filled with wonder
my soul filled with grace
I am content with myself
for the very first time
i am ready to live
i am ready to shine
i know what i want
i know who i am
i am independant and unafraid
my mind is open,
my thoughts are splayed
i changed my lifes direction
chose a different view
and this feeling called happiness
seems so new
my dreams are my reality
my pain is my past
though moments go by slowly,
days go by fast
i'll no longer hide my smile
suddenly, my life is worth while
time healed my heart
fixed my broken wings
once again,
i see the wonderful in things
