Hurting On Your Graduation

Today was your graduation, and I watched you move on
I am sorry I’m not happy because soon you will be gone
I know I should have smiled, but it was just so hard to do
Tears were falling down because I’m so in love with you
Never had I imagined that this day would come this fast
Now all I have are memories, and pictures from the past

Each year I watched you move into a world so unknown
And now today you will graduate and I will be left alone
You gathered your diploma and said some words on stage

Never knew I had dreamt of you, and now this is the end

Now you are happily moving on, and I will be left behind

Now I will sign the yearbook and then try to hide the pain
You walked out with your family, and you hugged in tears
