Perfect World

by Just Sierra   Jun 29, 2005

In your eyes,
I'm not what you see
In a perfect world,
There'll be no me

By the break of dawn
I'll fade to black and white
Nothing you can say
Can save me from the night.

Your hand slides up my wrist
And clenches it so tight
The feel of your touch your skin,
It feels all too right.

As tears stream down my face
I tell you I don't belong.
Truth is, I'm just weak
And the world needs someone strong.

I need to breath again
Breathe what oxygen can't provide.
I, also, need you where you are
Standing by my side.

So I'll kill two birds with one stone
And die with you, hand in hand.
The world has nothing to offer,
And I have no reason to stand.

You whisper the words
Delicately into my ear,
I know why you said them,
But it wasn't what I wanted to hear.

You never really mean it,
So please do not lie.
You say, "I love you";
I tilt my head back and die.
