A Lesson Learned

Its great how it ended once..
and yet i was dumb to let it happen again..
you said it'd be different..
that you realize you made a mistake..
I really feel for you this time..
laying my heart on the line..
but i kept telling myself you changed..
and then this happened..
you broke my heart again..
and this time for a stupid reason..
you say we can be good friends..
but you see i know what it will led too..
so if you change your mind..
and realize what you did..
don't come looking for me..
cuz I'm not gonna be sitting and waiting again..
I'm tired of the games you play..
you say you love me..
but go off and leave me..
i was true when i said i loved you..
but now i walking away..
I'm gonna teach my fragile heart what goodbye is..
but it seems like your heart don't care..
do you ever realize how many times i cry over you..
well not no more cuz you see..
I'm gonna find someone new..
and when you see me happy with a smile on my face..
you can wonder why you're sitting with a frown..
It took you longer to say hi..
then it did goodbye..
so now I'm realizing that you..
never cared a bit..
you say you still like me..
but how is this true..
you tare my world apart..
when you play games like you do..
i never intended on falling this fast..
but with you i couldn't pass..
each day i wake..
I'm hoping i have what it takes just to get over you..
I'm sorry it had to end like this..
but maybe its for the best..
maybe this is Gods way..
of showing me i can do better..
I'm still young and theres tons out there..
so I'm not gonna sit around and wait for you..
so i end this with a goodbye..
yet i don't see the good..
maybe this is a lesson learned..
in this thing called life

*Just another one about my ex, as you can see he meant alot to me but apparently i meant nothing to him. I'm working on being stronger through my poems..i hope other girls can relate to what I'm going through.
