Without You[NOT SLANG]

by Lithium   Jun 30, 2005

I cannot live without you by my side,
The thought just brings mere tears to my eyes,
Not being able to touch your tender skin,
Not being able to see your cute goofy grin,

See the birds flying in the sky,
Walk up a mountain ever so high,
Take a step further to reach,
For your hands I hold in each,

Stones will not stand in my way,
Nor will darkness within a day,
No one shall stop me from,
All the years ahead and the ones to come,

Every rose has thorns but yours are invisible,
Nor a cut or graze to be visible,
I a wait on a sunlit hill watching the sun rise,
Knowing not a piece of myself I have to disguise,

A side of hell never is shown,
Not an evil presence within your bones,
Pure as heaven an angel sent,
Watches over and protects me from torment,

I look at you and wonder how love became so true,
How blessed I am to be with you,
Through the stormy nights you bring out the stars,
You heal every scar upon my arms,

Whenever I am down you always make me smile,
Whenever I’m alone you talk to me just for a while,
The days are endless with your love,
As are mine for you and all the above,

You gave yourself to me showed me everything,
In this world and how great it can be,
In return I gave you my all,
I don't have and regrets I continue standing tall,

Tried and in your arms I said 'I love you',
With all my heart I really do,

To live a life without you here,
Would be unbearable and severe,
Going on pretending to be happy would be untrue,
Because living isn’t living without you.
