In the Dark

by Ariana Moreno Covarrubias   Jun 30, 2005

In the dark never knowing the light.
Sitting in a corner, in the dark forever awaiting someone to turn on the light and reach out.
knowing they will never come.
For you never learn how to turn on the light yourself. Therefore you will never know the light of day and the stars of night. There are millions born ever day who will never know this light.

* Depression is not something to be taken lightly Please lets all remember this and never forget the compassion one can have for another. this poem was not made to be good it was meant to be a metaphor for the way lots of people feel in this cruel and cold world so just remember to smile because you never know how that one smile can save a person's life.*
