A simple wish

by Ly Cai   Jun 30, 2005

There’s a wish that I’ve been longing for it to come true
I wish I was free from all this stress oh what should I do?
I’m always staring at the birds then looking back at me,
I wish I was as free as them can’t you see?

Some people asked me what I wanted for my birthday
Well I wanted to be free and no longer gray.
Is that so hard? All my life I wanted that wish
To be free, free like the wind, the birds, and the fish.

As the days grew I began to get more pressure
My wish is impossible if it did come true it would be my pleasure.
I asked my self is it ever possible? Will I live to that day?
It’s like losing a penny in a sack of hey.

There’re only two places that my wish will come true
It’s when I dream and when I die.
Oh what should I pick? What should I do?
I think my final answer is death so bye, bye.
