Letting Go For The Better

by Josh Hopper   Jul 1, 2005

Your kiss touched me like the whispering wind,

makes you feel great till it comes back again,

But this time it never came back to me,

It was fine you loved me but it wasn't faithfully.

I was afraid to let go because I know that it'd hurt,

It made me question what our relationship was worth,

so I went along with it till I could no longer bear,

your unaffectionate love is taking its wear.

Finally I called it quits and told you straight,

I wanted true love but I didn't want to wait,

It hurt me so bad to love what doesn't love back,

when I looked at our past and saw what we had.

It was all just a lie and to me was a waste,

who knew nothing could leave an impact so great,

For me it is just a time to move on,

but for you its a chance to miss what is gone
