Monster

by Clay   Jul 1, 2005

There's a monster inside of me
It rips and tears through my insides trying to get free

My will chains the beast down
But my will is weak

It breaks free and trashes my inhibitions
Common sense and compassion are ripped to pieces

I watch helplessly as this monster indulges in my every temptation
For the sins i commit there is no reconciliation

Night rises and daylight breaks
I awake while the monster sleeps
Feeling even more hollow and fake

I sit in a dark corner asking myself
"Will i ever have control?"
Somebody please save me from myself
