My Hero

by Ashley Redden   Jul 1, 2005

My daddy rodeos
He does it all
Works a full day on the ranch
But somehow
He always has time for the family
All though it seems so busy
Daddy always sits down
And tell me stories of his past
Before I came along
And how paw paw
Once did all the things
Hes doing now
He tells me its rough
On your body
And its not the way
To make it these days
That I should go
And break this tradition
And make something of myself
But I don't want to
I wanna stand for something
And carry on the life of the past
Cause I love the man he is
And the man before him
They'll both be my heroes
That I'll carry on
