Sorry

by Steven Beesley   Jul 2, 2005

You're choking up and your feelings are bottled up inside.
You have something to say, but don't know how?
That's Okay, I'm here for you now.
You feel miserable and down.
The tears swell in your eyes, but don't be blue.
In truth I love and will always cherish and forgive you.

You know that you have inflicted me with pain.
You know that you have hurt me and know that it was so vain.
The words seem difficult to say, but I have no expectation and have no blame.
For all you want to say, you have said it from inside.
I have no anger, I have not turned away.

I know your sorry that you hurt me and sorry you need not say.
For I've never blamed you in any way.
My friend, let's start over afresh, all over again.

    Chris,

Thanks for your support. I wrote this for a friend who was feeling very guilty for the way that I was treated. I think the most important thing in any friendship is being able to forgive and forget.

    Best regards,

    Steve
