Man's Better Half

by Jason   Jul 2, 2005

When God made man and called him good
He left but one detail,
Without a helper Adam's race
was surely bound to fail.

Not from his head or from his foot
But near his heart did lift
The rib by which he fashioned Eve;
Adam's precious gift.

If a man climbs to the top
And gains success in life,
It has less to do with talent;
Most likely it's his wife.

Before we go on boasting
And fill our hearts with pride,
Remember there's a helper,
a best friend, and a bride.
