Tears that requiem the past,
Show us that nothing lasts,
You can't hold on, you can't go back,
But still we stare into the black,
Hoping, maybe that there's a light... Let go, let go...
And still we hold on, and fear the past,
Hoping there's a way, if we could just go back,
But the River tugs, and pulls us forward,
Relentlessly flowing, and moving onward,
There's no reason to even fight... Let go, let go...

The Rivers of Time, will incessantly flow,
As we move forward, it doesn't slow,
Keep looking forward, to oncoming life,
And keep your mind from the darkness of the past.
Just let go, let go...

Regretting the past, one time after another,
Keeps our minds busy, and away from each other,
It takes from the now, and leaves an empty space,
Until there's no past to follow, no present to trace.
Constantly moving, with its cold, sullen embrace... Let go, just let go...
Sometimes one feels that they move too quickly,
With only their mind, to change things thoughtfully,
Always staring at the Point of Darkness,
Never letting go, and being enveloped in blackness...
Let go from the past; it's found its place... Just let go, and move forward...
