If i were a (re-submitted)

If I were a book you would never get to the end
For the pages are too long and hard to understand
If I were a doorknob, you’d never open the door
For I am too hard to unlock anymore
If I were a diary, my words would be too much to keep
For I am full of secrets you will never get to seek
If I were a mirror, no reflection would appear
For I am too ashamed and full of tears
If I were the sun, there would be no such thing as daylight
For I am mortified, I do not come out in sunlight
If I were a dream, I would never feel mistakened
For I am in best hands when I am not awakened...
