She awoke undressed in mud
Unsure of how she got there
Yet she knew things were wrong
There was blood everywhere

Tears fell from her eyes
When she remembered it all
Her lover cheating on her…
That hard and hurtful fall…

Something stirred far away
But her eyes were blurred
Someone was aching in pain
And that is all she heard

Quickly she got dressed
Adrenaline in its control
Walking painfully to the noise
Something pierced her soul…

A figure was on the ground
Lying inside a pool of blood
His hand was holding his chest
And his face covered in mud

The sight instantly hurt her
It sent chills inside her heart
While she stared at her lover
Her insides were falling apart

“Oh God, please!!” she cried
“Oh dear God are you alright
He smiled and all he said was
“Did I put up a good fight?”

She held his face in sorrow
And his body was very cold
She used cloths to wrap him
And gave him her hand to hold

“Baby, you saved my life”
Was all she managed to say
“I know what was to happen
If you never came my way”

He tried to speak back to her
But he only winced in pain
Her heart fell in a million pieces
A feeling she couldn’t explain

“See baby I am dying for you”
She choked on all her tears
“I wasn’t lying when I said it
I promised all of these years”

“But I cannot live without you”
The words barely did escape
“I don’t want you to leave me
I’d rather be dead and raped”

He shook his head no to say
I would never let that be…
“Dear of all people around
You mean the most to me”

All she could do was sob
As he began to close his eyes
“No, Baby!! You can make it”
“Sweetie true love never dies”

“No, Please don’t leave me
I am running to get help!!
Stay strong my love please
Hold on tight to yourself”

“Please hunny forgive me
For whatever I said today
As long as I see your face
I am happy to die this way”

She didn't want to leave him
In the last minutes of his life
She didn't want to come back
And find he closed his eyes

“I love you, and I forgive you
And I promise I will forever
If you leave I am coming too
And then we will be together”

She tried to warm his icy skin
“I will never forgive myself...”
She screamed to a parking car
“Wait, we’re going to get help”

“Please forget everything
Whatever I told you today
As long as it was for you
I am happy to die this way”

“Stop I know you will live!”
But then there was no reply
It had been coming, she knew
But she only tried to deny

She hated herself for it all
If only she could go back
Her body then felt so hot
And everything went black
