Letting go

by tinkerbell   Jul 3, 2005

When you've hit rock bottom
when you can't take anymore
when you're so sick of losing
when you're lying on the floor
you tell yourself
don't let go
you'll get through this
somehow you just know
doesn't it get tiring
always picking yourself up
it's a never ending cycle
it never stops
when do we realize
that things won't change
it's the same old story
just a different page
I'm so damn tired
of smiling for show
I've outgrown life
I'm ready to go
don't try to save me
with your hopeful words
you don't know me
we're from two separate worlds
you don't know what it's like
to always fall down
I don't think I can take
another push to the ground
the repetition is so frustrating
I can predict the outcome
just when things are good
I trip and down I come
you can only rise
so many times
you can only wipe
so many tears from your eyes
I'm not strong enough
to make a stand
I'm not brave enough
to take your hand
laughs were too few
and not worth the cost
life was too tough
it's a game and I lost
