Dance with the Devil

Dance with the Devil

As I apply my eyeliner I can’t help but smile
Things are going to be different now,
I am going to Dance with the Devil.
I have become one of the many who is unsure
I have become one of the many who has fallen
But I know that I am one of the few who is lucky enough to Dance with the Devil.

I dance my heart out, quite literally I might add.
This fine young gentleman in a suit,
is he truly the leader of those who have fallen?
I gasp as he claims me.
He staked me out.
I felt so special, I felt so loved,
all because I danced with the Devil.
Dancing with him I smiled.

Dancing with him I couldn’t help but feel coy.
He treated me like royalty.
Alas it was all a ploy.
He just wanted me among his minions.
I was trapped in his web of lies.
That is what happens when you Dance with the Devil.

I can never go back,
For I have slipped so far.
But for some odd reason, I have no regrets.
No such feelings of betrayal.
For when you Dance with the Devil
You cannot help but feel glee.
When you Dance with the Devil
All else is forgotten.
Dance with the Devil, your soul falls into ecstasy.
Whether it is just that moment or forever.
When you Dance with the Devil
All else is forgotten.

Dance with the Devil
