Princess Brandi

by Dee   Jul 3, 2005

July 22nd
Of the year 2002
I looked into her bright blue eyes
Such love I never knew

Her tiny little hands
Gently holding onto mine
I never knew that love
Could be ever so divine

Taking her first steps
Saying her first words
Taking her outside
So she could feed the birds

Sleigh riding in the snow
With rosy little cheeks
Putting her in the bathtub
Then watching her fall asleep

Changing a million diapers
Sorting through clothes that are too small
Taking her to the toy store
So she can have it all

Picking out a kitchen
Stuffed animals and toys
I never knew of anyone
Who would bring me so much joy

Kissing all her boo-boos
Wiping away her little tears
Sheltering her from the world
Protecting her from all her fears

Telling her there’s no monsters
Hiding underneath her bed
Cooking all her meals
Making sure she is well fed

Watching her grow up
Even though she’s only three
Nothing in this world
Means so much to me

I spend every day with her
I listen to her sing
She's heaven sent from up above
The wind beneath my wings.

I hope I live forever
To teach her wrong from right
To always stand beside her
Each day of her life

To provide her with support
Like my mother always did
To pass on the same affection
I had since I was a kid

To always be a rock
For her to look up to
Makes me try a little harder
In everything I do

Her beautiful little smile
Shows how she depends on me
That precious little angel
My little Brandi Jean

This is dedicated to my daughter, Brandi Jean
Love Mommy

This is excellent. As a mother, its so hard to express the intense emotion that you feel for your little one. I'm impressed at how well you are able to, I'm still trying. 5/5!
