To make you walk away
Foolish to feel the things
That I just could not say

To think it was not true
Foolish enough to believe
I was not in love with you

To say you didn’t love me
Knowing that in my heart
We were so meant to be

I was such a foolish girl
To think I didn’t love you
When deep down inside
You’re the one that’s true

I was such a foolish girl
To let you leave my heart
Foolish enough to ignore
I loved you from the start

I was such a foolish girl
To let you just slip away
For I still think about you
With each and every day

I was such a foolish girl
More than I’ll ever know
Foolish to go hurt myself
All because I let you go

    amen to this poem, i know what it's like to let the person you loved go, but stay strong, it's hard to believe now, but later you might find someone just as good, and you wont let them get away this time
